Things of Wood Exhibition
The "Things Of Wood" Exhibition was held in March 2001 at Fairfield City Museum and Gallery, corner of Oxford Street and The Horsley Drive, Fairfield.
The Exhibition featured woodturning, carving, marquetry. Also featured were a number of tables and cabinetwork by organiser John Austin.
The museum has a large number of Victorian and early 20th Century items displayed in the old school, slab hut, garage, shop and coach house as well as historical photographs of early Fairfield making a visit a very enjoyable experience.
John Austin plans to hold a similar exhibition in 2003.

March 11th was demonstration day with a good turnout despite the poor weather.
